YOD is almost here!

On Saturday September 29th at 1pm BST, store.amostoys.com will begin a special advanced pre-sale of the new YOD figures. This will be open to all store Silver members. A limited amount have been set aside to give Silver members an early chance to make a purchase, ready for shipment after the official release date of October 13th.

Earlier this week, everyone who purchased a YODzine from store.amostoys.com was given an oppurtunity to reserve the Special Edition white YOD (previously only available at San Diego Comic-Con back in July). There will be a handful of these remaining and the last of these will also be offered to Silver Members on Saturday.

Silver members watch for the email with further details. Please be aware, the pre-sale stock is limited and will probably sell out.
But we have kept some more figures aside which will go on sale on the official release date.

That is the end of this communication

ALL HAIL YOD!

Adidas Dublin Half-Marathon

Just got back from Dublin where I ran the half-marathon there. I came 7th, in 1 hour 14 minutes. Quite pleased with that: there were a couple of nasty little hills on the course, so I think the time was o.k., considering.

Many thanks to Richard Seabrooke and Aidan Kelly for lunch afterwards.

After two weeks holiday it's back to the grindstone tomorrow. YOD is calling...

Contemplating something...

Been a quiet week for the blog. Too many tasks, too many distractions. So here's a random post.

We had started work on a piece for a a new German periodical to be published in broadsheet newspaper format. This is being put together by some of the guys from Lodown magazine. Unfortunately the newspaper has been delayed. But here's a glimpse of some of James' development sketches and an idea of where we were going. This should confuse you...

Oh, and by the way... this one didn't end up in the recycle box.

Il Camuffolo

I've been staying for 10 days holiday on the Lido di Venezia. I also found time to visit my friend, Sig. Giorgio Camuffo. Here he is with a large sculpture of Evil Martin he had made for an exhibition in Venice in 2003.

JJ in Venice and the Golden Tapirs.

Signor Jarvis is currently away in Venice, taking some much needed R and R with his family. But he did take some time out to decorate 10 Golden Tapirs imaginatively known as the Tapiri d'Oro (not totally sure what it is about but something to do with an Italian TV show annual awards). Thought you might like to take a look.

Pretty Tapirs!

Japan VM specials go live...

The special edition products made for the Japan release of VMATGSOW will go live for sale through the store.amostoys.com site on Friday 1pm BST. These items will include a handful of copies of the Japanese edition of the book, 2 colourways of the VM tees (pretty limited), the mugs (very limited) and the post card set (see below...quite limited).

Some of the old Silas Martin Kubrick figures will also be made available through the Stash section. Good stuff, what!

More VM specials. Allow it!

To celebrate the recent Japanese release of the Vortigern's Machine book, our friends at One Gram produced a special edition range of VM product. Until now this has only been available in Japan but we have managed to get some for the online store. This includes the mugs shown on the last post, a 3 piece set of glossy postcards and these rather dandy tees. We have very limited quantities of all. We will have a very small number of the Japanese books available too.

We'll try and keep you posted as to exactly when they go up for sale. It will be very soon...

Cup of tea anyone?

Japanese made high quality china mugs. In a Vortigern's Machine style. Already available from amostoys.jp and coming soon to store.amostoys.com...

The contents of our recycling box...

The contents of our recycling box would probably fetch a tidy sum on Ebay!

Profound Apologies!!!

The store opened on Saturday at 12pm BST and promptly crashed due to the sheer volume of instant traffic. The server collapsed and took the payment system with it. Took a while to get it all working again and we had to contact some customers directly to replace their orders. We are really sorry for any inconvenience caused. There were always going to be a few teething problems and we are still working hard to try and iron these out. Thanks to everyone who patiently persevered on Saturday. We will get there!

If you think you have registered but have not yet received acknowledgement of your Silver Membership upgrade then please ensure your are correctly registered by attempting to log into the store using your user name and password. If you do not have these then please follow the instructions in the previous blog entry (1st September, THE STORE IS LIVE!!!). Any other problems then email admin@store.amostoys.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks.
