Amos x Porter

Our licensee in Japan has collaborated with top luggage company, Porter, to produce a small range of King Ken print bags and pouches. Unfortunately the weak British Pound, the strong Japanese Yen, and the high cost of shipping, makes it very difficult to import these for our online store. But we like what they've done so we at least want to share an image.

If you are really desperate to pick up any of these items then I think it may be possible to buy direct from the Japanese online store. Never tried this myself but apparently it can be done by following the instructions here. Consider it an online-store aptitude and perseverance test.

Another Comp

Excuse this indulgence but the amazing Kick To Kill blog has posted another one of my compilations. This one's all about Africa. You can get it here.

Please buy what you like and support the artists where possible.

Amos x ATP

This coming December All Tomorrow's Parties have asked Amos to curate the In Between Days festival at Butlins in Minehead, Somerset, UK. This means we get to pick the bands that play and organise other stuff and nonsense for the duration of the four day event. The bands we picked that have so far confirmed are:

Caribou

Wooden Shjips

Moon Duo

Many more will be added over the coming months. Amos will also be designing artwork especially for the event and James Jarvis will have a new show on display for the first time in the UK. More on our participation soon.

The four days are sandwiched between two other ATP weekend festivals happening at the same venue, The Nightmare Before Christmas (curated by Godspeed You Black Emperor) and The Bowlie 2 Weekender (curated by Belle and Sebastian). Tickets can be bought for each event separately, although it's actually possible to remain at Butlins for a full ten days of intense festival madness. See the ATP site for more information.

The Story of King Kun

I recently did an interview for Club-Bounch, a site dedicated to all things Bounty Hunter. If you're interested in some of the background to the Martin or King Kun figures then it's worth taking a look. Click on the link below and check the files section.
